Unlike what its name suggests, the post-colonial method doesn’t deal with what happens after colonization (since its damage continues), but offers critical positions after the regimes of brutality, extraction, capture, precarity, and alienation that were central to the plantations in the Caribbean have spilled on the rest of the world like organic matter. In these scenarios of physical and ideological blackouts, collective practices like LOUDREADERS offer subversive, critical, and emancipatory imaginaries.
HOSTED BY: BA Architecture, Stage 3
WITH: CRUZ GARCIA and NATHALIE FRANKOWSKI co-founders of WAI think tank, a planetary studio practicing by questioning the political, historical, and material legacy and imperatives of architecture and urbanism; and the free and alternative education platform and trade-school Loudreaders that engages with architectural education as a form of mutual aid and critical solidarity.
